Swapping for a Duramax, Cummins, Big Block Gas or Any Other Engine:

Converting to another engine is not your average do-it-yourself project. A few have done it successfully, but each case has presented its own set of challenges. There is no simple set of "how to" instructions.

If you are considering such a project, it's recommended that you make use of the Hummer Network Forums. You can do an archive search to see what has been written in the past and/or ask for advice from forum users who have done conversions. It's always helpful to learn from the experiences of others, but you will have your hands full with a project like this.
